Caucus Resolutions
The top 5 resolutions voted upon at the Mesa County Assembly are as follows and will be sent to the State Assembly on May 22nd:
 
RESOLVED:  Whereas, it is beneficial to determine that proposed legislation complies with the Constitution of the United States before consideration of legislation by the full houses of Congress; and Whereas, such consideration will relieve burdens of all branches of government; and Whereas, such committee will better preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. Therefore, be it resolved that Republicans will submit a bill for Congressional legislation creating an Ad Hoc committee in each of the houses of Congress to review and determine the constitutional basis for all legislation. The committees shall issue a report upon its findings stating if and how all provision of the proposed legislation is in concurrence with the Constitution of the United States.  This report must be delivered as a condition of and prior to the submittal for action by the full houses of Congress, unless there exists at the time a legally declared state of war.  Such legislation is limited to the period of the declaration of war and suspends automatically with the end of the declaration.

RESOLVED:  Whereas, a single national language is beneficial for better mutual understanding between culturally diverse groups in society; and Whereas, a single national language is necessary to improve general public business; and Whereas, a single national language is necessary to improve public safety. Therefore be it resolved that American English as our heritage language is the official language of the United States of America and should be codified as such.

RESOLVED: Whereas, members of both houses of Congress have written in exemptions for government members to a highly controversial bill for their own personal benefit above the general public; and Whereas, such exemptions undermine the country's confidence in the actions of Congress; and Whereas, such action creates a class distinction detrimental to the image of Congress. Therefore, be it resolved that Republicans will submit a bill for Congressional legislation prohibiting Congress from enacting any bill, provision or rule that exempts members of the U.S. government from provisions of it's legislation but for the reason of national security which must be stated therein and be germane to the bill, provision, rule, or legislation.
